Fuzzy Anubias

Can algae grow ON other plants? I have a 3 gallon tank that is housing Percy, one of my boys, and his plants - an anubias that grows like a weed, and a floating wisteria stem. The tank is in the only room in my house that really has any windows (my house is known to my family as the cave), and while there is no sign of algae on the acrylic, the anubia leaves look like they have hair? I only just noticed this, as the other day they were perfectly smooth.

The lights are multi colored leds, and the tank is heated but not filtered. Not using any ferts for the plants, as they seem happy without.

Should I worry about the fuzziness? Will it kill the plant?

Thanks :)

The only cure for ignorance is education, and bullying or attacking someone is no way to educate them.

My plants grow algae every so often. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's not, always it's unsightly. I would remove it whenever it comes up.

What does it look like? Is it bluish green?

I'm not familiar with anubias, either; it might be a natural thing for them to do. *shrug*
