lighting....

Some plants require higher light levels than others right? I have some water wisteria in bettasaur's tank but it only seems to flourish when it's right up under the light. I don't think the some of the rest of my plants are getting enough light, but there's no room to put them right under the bulb. I have them arranged as a kind of little forest that bettasaurus pouts/sleeps in.I don't think he'd appreciate me moving it. ;) the bulbs I have are the ones that came with the 10 gallon starter kit from walmart. I know I have wisteria, java fern, anarchis & ludwigia. What bulbs can I get that will be good for all of those plants? Thanks so much!! :)

You might want to change to a CFL Daylight 6500k bulbs.

Available at many stores and lasts a long time. My plants love them.

Hi, you can find 13 watt micro mini Sylvania 6500k CFL screw in base bulbs at places like Lowes, a two pack will cost about $ 6.00. You will be able to grow your plants with this type of lighting.

Is 6500k standard for most plants?

It has a good light spectrum for a wide range of plants. Makes for a very bright tank as well.
