Did I plant correctly?

Hi, I recently added some anubias to my tank. I tied them to driftwood using fishing wire. I'm not sure how long it should take for the roots to stick to the wood, but can anyone tell me if I did it right?

It looks fine, if the driftwood has a cavity so a place for the roots to grow into would also work. As for the fishing line, I'd just leave it and not remove it. If you want you can use cotton thread and that will desolve over time.
