Easy plants?? Moss balls?

I have been contemplating the switch to real plants for my 3 Betta tanks. I have two heated/unfiltered 1.1g tanks (baby betta's), and one heated/unfiltered 3g (adult betta). My tanks only have LED lights, and no setup for another kind of light.

What would be the easiest plant to experiment with for this trial? I have also seen the moss balls at PetSmart. Would these help with water quality and make the betta's happy? Real plants strike me as a bit complicated, and I don't want to harm any fish with this transition. Do all real plants need to be quarantined?

They don't help with water quality at all. You would need to pack your tanks with all kinds of plants and then make them grow in order for them to make an impact on water quality.
However, marimo moss balls are SO neat!! People name theirs.
PetSmart sells them here for 9.99- um.. I would not buy one for that price when they are so plentiful and cheap online.
Moss balls require no special lighting or ferts. And they are hardy in a wide range of temperatures and water paramters. They are the easiest plant ime/o. I love all my moss balls!!
