Plant suggestions

I am horrible with house plants...I even kill cactuses! So I'm looking for a nice easy plant for both betta tanks. I currently have some leafy thing in each tank. I don't know what type they are. One looks like a fern, the other one is just a leafy plant. Both were labeled fully submersible.

My substrate is not the typical freshwater substrate -- I opted to use black sand (I've anchored my plants with gravel, though). I guess I want a floating plant. Can someone name a couple of hardy ones?

I like anubias and crypts. I also have anacharis which you can plant or let float. I'm letting mine float and they seem to be doing alright.

Make sure you have decent lighting though!

Thanks, Fishy...I have the LEDs that came with the tank. Those would be fine, right? They would be pretty close to the light if they're floating.

OH I actually just saw that I do have crypts in my daughter's tank.

Anubias is a good one. It is just a pretty slow grower, but other than that it is a great pretty plant. I have some anubias nana in my 46 gal

Hey Gosquidgo, sorry for the late reply. I have seen people say LEDs work with anubias. I don't have experience myself with that. I have an incandescent hood with bulbs from Petsmart.
