Planning 2nd NPT, sufficient lights?
So now that I have my new spec V all set up, I'm thinking of trying to convert my other tanks to NPTs as well.
The next up will be my 10 gallon. It has a hood with two 25-watt 6500k fluorescent bulbs.
Will this be good enough for the plants I decided that I want? I'd rather not have to buy a new light system, and I kind of like the having a hood.
Plants I want in the tank:
-a bunch of wisteria
-a bunch of camomba
-4-5 ludwigia natans
-1 hygrophilia polysperma
-1 hygrophilia corymbosa
-1 cryptocoryne wendtii
-1 corkscrew val
-1 sagittaria chilensis
-lots for dwarf hair grass
It'll probably be at least a month before I start putting this together. I have to recover from all the plants I bought for the spec....plus I have pricey custom painted headphones coming soon too.
Also, while I'm at it, my other 5 gallon tank has a hood with one 15w 6500k bulb. Will that be good for the same plants? I probably won't tackle that tank for at least another couple months....possibly after October if I can't get it done in time to let it go without a water change for a week.
