Plants and Marbles

Are there some live plants that can survive with a marble substrate? Or should I just stick to silk plants?

I used the decrative glass stones and didn't really have a problem until it came time for cleaning. Took at lot more effort to turn everything over and to get to all the little places in between.

Any plant would do fine except for those with a rhizome, google Anubias plant. I know there are more plants like it but that is the only one I can think of at this moment.

Awesome thanks :) I picked up some Anubias just yesterday evening. My lfs owner said it was good for floating up at the top of the tank which happens to be my betta's favorite hiding place!

I really don't think the plants will stay alive in marbles. I'm not sure what to tell you.

Substrate is not really important unless your plant is a rooting variety, even then, as long as you can provide light and carbon it should be fine. Most aquatic plants don't need to be rooted.

Try hornwort, wisteria or dwarf hygro, they can be fine just tied to a piece of rock.
