Striking out so far with Organic Potting soil. Found Flourite

Flourite was not what was I imagined using. It could be ok for my smaller tanks. It doesn't seem like it would be friendly to the snails I intended to add. Any thoughts on Flourite? Can it be mixed with soil? I am going to try a couple other places. XX fingers XX. I thought this part would be easy.

I don't think you'd mind flourite. Honestly, I am not enamored of my dirt tanks, because they're so hard not to mud up. Be sure you put a nice cap on the mud if you go that route! And you have to sift the dirt first, with a colander, to get rid of all the mulch.

The cost is not too far off from organic soil. If I find any organic soil I think I will do a comparision. I am worried about cycling it and whether snail will work with Flourite. It has rough texture which I would think would be unappealing to them.

Well I got two bags of flourite and I went the local pond/aquascaping place and bought aqua soil for ponds. We will see which is better. The lady nearly laughe d in my face when I asked if it was safe for fish. You'd assume so but I am better off not assuming when it comes to my fish. I am making a separate post about what I figured out regarding organic soil.
