Worms on anacharis?

I just bought some really nice and healthy anacharis from a local store but when I got it home and into fresh water, tons of little worms starting swimming around! Is there any way to treat this? I've never had this problem before. Thanks in advance! :)

What do the worms look like? Most worms are harmless and are in fact great food for fish. Your betta might love to eat them.

I tried getting pictures. There's one or two of these red ones and then the rest are lighter colored. The ones in the second picture aren't moving around as much now.

Do they tend to stick out of the substrate and wave around or do they swim around and/or stay on the glass like in your pictures?

I had put the plants in a container and over night the worms stopped moving. I rinsed them a few times and now they're fine. :)
