Downsides of DIY CO2

Anyone here know any real issues that can happen (to your aquarium only) on a DIY 2litre CO2 System?

10G
Pennywort
Red Melon Sword
Dwarf Baby Tears
Dwarf hairgrass
Foxtail
A crypt and some leafy mystery plant from my lfs

1 Plakat He didnt grow much, about 1 inch long.

You have to refill it every week....that's about it lol

Otherwise it's a great system, you really can't overdose with DIY CO2 systems which is good!

And they only cost 5-10 dollars lol. Thanks! Now all i need to do is empty a 2l >.>

lol exactly.

For a 10 gallon I'd actually suggest using 2 2L's, it won't be enough pressure build up if you only use one. Especially if you're using a bubble checker/reactor as well before the diffuser. You can start with one if you're just going for 2l right to the diffuser without a check valve or anything and see how it works though

I was going to run the no check valve with an airstone, then use modeling puddy around the intake to cut off airflow so all the air goes into the water.

So just running straight into the aquarium then, right? If so then a 2 liter might be sufficient

You can, but it's extremely hard to because the bottles just don't create enough pressure to overdose in the tank.
