Plants for Plain Sand?

Hey everyone! I recently decided to go ahead and plant my two five gallons. I wanted to go on the cheap so for substrate I just got Petco Black sand. Anyway I went to the online place where I buy plants and figured out all the plants I wanted to get but then I realized I probably need to get plants that don't need a very good substrate. Here's a list of the plants I was going to get, are these okay in my conditions?(the lighting is a 10 watt 6500k "daylight" bulb from zoomed.)

Plants I Wanted:
pennnywort
water sprite
vallisenera(one of the 5 gallons is tall)
crypt wendtii
crypt parva
cambomba
riccia fluitans

I already have some plants in the tank as well they include: a small anubias, some small java ferns, marimo moss balls and a bit of java moss. Also, here are some pictures of they tank:

sand is a pretty decent substrate :) I used it myself a while bak with many different plants and they all grew pretty well. root feeders such as swords may need the occassional root tab

Thanks! I do have some root tabs if I need them. Do you think these plants would work then?

I dont give out quality answers like I used to :( work and stuff keeps me distracted. I really do look forward to being able to sit down and type out better detailed information >.<
Hope the plants work out for you :)
I just got part of the beginners plant info up on the plant profiles, so you can look them up there... (and may be contribute!)

I am huge fan of white sand, so I got play sand that I took a lot of time wash to get all the fine particles out, been doing it for years with my reef and chilid tanks in the past, but my Q was is there a stand set list of good plat to rectangle in 5 gal square tank , I am going to set up of tons of cool caves and I will save a pic of final product once it all settles & post to my profile. but yea I am looking for a good grass type, and well any else really but I want to find some good grass for future breeding for the small guys to hide, thank for you input
