Good Light Brands/Types?

I feel like I'm not getting enough light in my non natural light aquarium.
My high light plants, even the ones towards the top dont seem that happy even with CO2 and ferts.

My aquarium is a 10g, and I was considering getting a new flourescent before I went back to school.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Need your aquarium dimensions to be able to answer, especially height. Also, is there any budget on this?

My experience in lights not intended as an endorsement for any MFR.

Current USA is a mfr. of T5 HO light fixtures. I have their 30" Freshwater fixture and my plants are all growing like "weeds" but I think most of my plants are low to moderate light needy. They make 2 fixtures in the right lengths for a 5 gal that they call freshwater and saltwater. The difference is that there are one of the two bulbs is either blue SW or redish FW. I replaced both bulbs after six months w/ 6500K daylight bulbs and there didn't seem to be any real difference in the plants health. I wish I had seen them for my Betta 5.5 gal before I bought the clip on's I have for physical mounting reasons.

These are available at Dr. F&S, Pet Mountain for sure and I think at Big Al's.

I would go with a Finnex Ray2, possibly with their red addition, or a custom light from buildmyled. They can walk you through all the possibilities, and make sure your whole tank gets sufficient light to grow what everything you want.
