Neon green algae:\

So I have like, bright green algae in my cycled and divided 10 gallon. I've been removing it manually, making water changes, turning off the light during the day, and still it comes back in a bit. The betta don't seem to mind it! I tried to get a snail, but it died (I'm officially a snail-killer).

One of my bettas is extremely aggressive and will kill ANYTHING in his side of the tank. The other one is more docile but uh it's only a 10 gallon, and not much else could coexist in his half. So algae-eaters (and snails) are out.

Any other solutions?

Algae is caused by extra nutrients in the water..
Maybe add fast growing plants to suck it all up? Anarachis, hornwort, cambodia, water sprite, etc. Hope your algae problem comes through.

Over hundreds of bettas die in their small, dirty cups each day. Only you can help them live. Research and then save them, today!

I've tried hornwort, but it doesn't grow well in my 10 gallon. I'll try and see about the other ones. Never thought that the solution to my algae problems would be more plants, ha!
