Cloudy water after root tabs

I put in root tabs yesterday and went to move one to a different spot a few minutes later. Needless to say it had already dissenegrated and just got stirred up into my water. This morning my water is cloudy :( is that an algae bloom? Is it harmful to little Oliver? What should I do about it?

What brand root tabs? I use Seachem & I've never had that happened. What color is the cloudy water? I would think it'd clear up with some water changes & shouldn't be harmful.

They are called "API Root Tabs." They were a dollar cheaper than seachem .. maybe I should've spent the extra dollar. However, I feel it wouldn't be doing this had I not stirred it up by attempting to move it to another spot.

As for the color: it is a whitish color really-- like a haze on a cloudy day. Foggy seeming.

Sounds like a bacterial bloom & nothing to worry about. Do a couple extra water changes & it should clear up. I bought my Seachem root tabs for Amazon, you can get 40 of them for about the same price as you purchase 10 in the store.

It was MUCH better yesterday and clear today! I did three water changes on Sunday and that must have done the trick :) thank you for your help!
