Plant suggestion

Want to seperate 2 of my females from my community tank because they are being somewhat agressive... well more pestering my other fish... So i'm gonna set up a 5 gallon tank just for them... the light in the hood is just those bulbs... any suggestions to what plants would survive in that kind of lighting?

What type of bulbs? Do you know the k and/or the wattage? Need to know that before we can make plant suggestions.

Two females can not live together. A female betta sorority requires at least four to five females in a tank that is at least ten gallons and has plenty of hiding spots. I would highly recommend a divider.

Divider for a 5 gallon can be hard to find... already looked... unless there's a do it yourself divider that could work? As for the light i'm not to sure I bought the tank used... One thing I can do is go to petsmart or big al's and buy some new bulbs... (they are the small bulbs)...

There are dividers you can make yourself- http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/d...ividers-21866/ .

Is the light flourescent or incandescent?

Incandescent does basically nothing for plants, unfortunately. If you can find/order a ~6500k cfl bulb that will work in whatever wattage the hood takes your possibilities will open up a lot more.

Be careful... If you don't have the right species of fast growing stem plants growing you will probably experience an ammonia spike from the soil. Read ofl's sticky for more.
