Last time I talked to you (ages ago) I think your rats were on medication and not doing so well, have they improved? anyways I hope that you are your rats are well :)

HEY!! :D I've been thinking about you recently as a friend of mine just got rats, and they are so cute! I'm glad to hear the ich cleared up. I was a bit worried about that. Re-digging a pond doesn't sound like much fun. I honestly have no clue how to prevent the dirt from warping the plastic. I hope you can show us some pictures when it's all done!! Great to hear from you! :D

:( I'd pull him inside at this point. It will be a smaller volume of water and easier to treat. Go with copper-based treatment since it is this advanced.

Aww fuzzies! :3 A good friend of mine got two ratties from a research facility that were going to be euthanized. She luffs them! They are so cute! In other news I'm at the beach!!

:( Then it sounds like treating it in the pond is your best option. It is a really good thing that it's not spreading. Let's hope it stays that way!

:( I really hope they can pull through. I don't blame you for not wanting to wait. Is there any way you could pull the affected fish inside and treat them there? And then treat the entire pond next summer?

Yay! I like when you bother me! :3

Ich in a pond in winter is bad news. :( You can't hit them with hard meds like copper because the fish's systems are stressed from winter. Just how cold is the water? Is it spreading fast? I've heard of people using 2lb salt per 100 gal to treat it. You could try that and slowly raise the concentration and see if that will help. It might kill the plants, but goldfish are very salt-tolerant.

All my fishies are well! Now I want to get yours better!!

He also has treatises on water changes, stocking, plants and other fishkeeping skills.

Have you see the 25th anniversary filming of Phantom at the Albert Hall? I'm in love with Sierra Bogess. Accurate pitch, clean articulation, dynamic control, you know all that singing technique. If you're a A L-W and or Phantom fan, you might find it on Amazon.

    Hi!

Yep, he is mine. I got him just recently at Petsmart, he was mislabeled as a female. He was much less colored up at the store, but colored up beautifully after about a week in a good tank! He's actually a copper, so his fins appear blue sometimes, though they are quite visibly purple most of the time. I'm quite proud of him!

I'd actually like to breed him soon, I'm hunting around for a good female for him.
