*yawn* Well, I'd better head to bed before the cats take the best spots. Chat with you later!

They are awesome. I'm no good at digital coloring. I had a friend in high school who colored anime that way but when I tried it once, it looked like something a third grader did on a very old computer.

Those are both incredible! Do you watercolor, digitally color? What's your secret to making those look so awesome?

How do you do your art? I've been admiring them in your album. They're gorgeous! You capture the shape and everything so perfectly.

Haha, I definitely need to look into MSN and this Very Potter musical thing. I love parodies.

:( I don't use MSN, unfortunately or I'd love to chat with you. But I think I'm definitely going to have to look into MSN or Skype or one of those soon. What is the Very Potter Musical? Is it Harry Potter related?

Wow, what kind of dog is Tidus? My neighbor had a bull mastiff who was bigger than many ponies. Sweet thing, though, but . . . big. I like dogs, I just can't have them with so many cats. Plus we have all wood floors in our house that the cat claws scratch up as it is. If I brought home a dog I'd be tossed right out of the house, haha.

Adrenaline is an amazing thing because it can block out pain at the moment when you most need to focus. I'm glad the poor cat came down finally, they're so pitiful when they're up in trees mewing away and looking so trapped. Lol, with 8 cats I have so many cat scratch scars that when I go to the doctor, the nurses always look at me like I'm a self-mutilator in desperate need of therapy and/or locking up. I'm like, "No, I just have a lot of cats." Come to think of it, with 8 cats, maybe I DO need therapy and/or locking up.

 Ah no, I think your predicament was a little more entertaining. And a whole lot more painful so I shouldn't laugh so hard, hehe. I've had cats claw me when they're freaked out, it HURTS! Worse than anything they do on purpose. I hope you healed up okay. How long did your poor kitty hide up in the tree?

What I should have done was take the gravel attachment off, I think it just widened the area of suction. He was just moseying along, "Dododo, whoop!" And the next thing the poor guy knew he was spinning in a whirlpool in the bucket. I dropped the siphon and got water everywhere so I was trying to rescue my fish (who was perfectly safe in the bucket and didn't really need immediate rescuing despite my fears) and mop up at the same time before the water goes under the dresser. I must have looked hilarious to the other bettas watching.

Fortunately, he was fine; I think I was worse off than he was because I was so shaken up. Now I make sure I take him out of the tank no matter what. I don't worry about my other fish because they are all active and stay out of the way, but my HM just strolls along and doesn't bother to move when he sees the siphon coming. :)

That's why I love bettas, they have so much personality. My halfmoon did more than get his nose stuck, he got sucked up all the way through the siphon, right through the tube and into the bucket. I was so freaked out!

When I change the water in my sorority, they swarm all over. One girl always nibbles my hand and the rest keep trying to bite the gunk going up the siphon. "That looks edible!" Chomp! "What's this plastic doing here?" They're really funny.

Oh yes, it's funny how they react to the hand. Then they see that it's empty and they turn away with an expression of disgust. :)

Don't worry, I don't mind. :) It's good to talk to someone who actually understands fish and understands how close you can get to them. I'm sorry you had to euthanize Blackout, that must have been a really hard decision. I wonder if he was always a little sickly because he was maybe inbred or maybe that poor pet store care was too much of an obstacle to overcome. But you gave him a good home for a year; he might not have lasted a month if someone else had gotten him. I'm sure he was a happy betta and appreciated the good care and love you gave him. And Commie too. I really think fish understand when someone cares about them.

Did you get them at Petco too? It's more than possible both were a year old by the time you got them. A lot of pet store bettas are ex-breeders so they're usually 6-12 months old by the time the pet stores get them. That would make Commie and Blackout both 2 when they died which is a pretty good age since the average lifespan of a betta is only 1-3 yrs. It sounds like Commie maybe just died in his sleep of old age, through no fault of yours. Same with Blackout.

Yup, you honestly can't beat obsessive water changes. You did a great job nursing him back to health. :-D He's a lucky betta to have such a good owner.

 Poor little guy, that sounds awful and I bet it looked horrible, too! I didn't know ich could turn their bodies transparent. Wow, I'm really glad he survived. What a little fighter. :)
