Sorry I keep forgetting I have to post in your visitor message section-so I copy and pasted....lol
That depends on what species on the 36 plants in that package....kinda seems high to me for 36 plants...I think I paid less than $40 and I got well over 100 pants-but mostly stems with some vals and sags mixed in from sweetaquatics-but that has been a fairly long time ago.....have you check to see if you have any local aquarium clubs-even if the club isn't in your town-usually a member will be close by-not only do you save on shipping the plants are acclimated to your area a bit better-and you usually don't have to be a member of the club to buy stuff either.....
I just got your message But sadly, I got no fry :/ my first attemp the pair wasn't compatible and the second spawn, they did successfully spawn but it was the first spawn for both and the male ate all but a couple eggs and I couldn't hatch any of the eggs. I'm introducing a new pair today though! My butterfly blue and white halfmoon male and a female that looks nearly identical to your profile pictures! Trying to get a "blue cambodian". Then I'll be spawning my friends dragon male from aquabid and my black fire female to start working on my dragon line. Did you have any successful spawns this summer?
Speech Therapy. I'm about a year away from graduating so I really need to focus on school right now. No time to clean fry jars :-/ Hopefully I'll be able to breed again in the not too distant future.
Thanks. It was hard but it's the right thing to do :-/ I've just got too much on my plate and it doesn't make sense for me to have 30 something fish when I'm not breeding. So I just kept a few pets and let the rest go to awesome homes.
go to my thread 4 spawns... hope i answered your question relativly well <3 if u ever have questions about breeding or in general care, id bee happy to educate young newbies like you... <3 <)))))><
Never use tank water. You want the freshest water possible, just in case something goes wrong and they're stuck in the box longer than expected. What I do is mix up fresh water and add dechlorinator. I always add a few extra drops of prime just as a precautionary measure. I also add a drop of stress coat, some others add different things.. it all goes by preference.
my red ear slider slepps all the time and when i pick him up he doesnt pen his eyes.
i take him outside to play in the grass but he only moves around a lil but then he just goes to sleep ?
should i get another turtle for him to play with?
If they have parasites they should be showing symptoms like bloating, stringy and/or white poo, lethargy, clamping, constipation, etc. It couldn't hurt to treat them for parasites as a precaution.
Oh no I'm so sorry she passed. She was a pretty girl.
She was completely healthy when she left me (or else I wouldn't have shipped her) so she must have picked something up in your tank. If you've had unexplained deaths I'd look into a potential bacterial infection that could be infecting your girls. The fact that the yellow girl was so small could be a potential factor in why she got sick so fast... I'm not totally sure about that.
