Howdy! Glad to be here. Been reading posts here for about two months, and enjoying the fish photography! Bettas are far more varied than I imagined.
I own a young veil-tailed female named Baby Blue. I picked her out and a baby male, but wound up going home with the female. When I got her, she was less than 1.25" long from snout to the tip of her tail, so she is still technically a fry.
She lives in a 5 gallon tank with a couple of also tiny ghost shrimp and a baby kuhli loach named Light'n Larry.
