Hello, wonderful Betta lovers! Please let me introduce myself. I am Trish and my sweet Betta, which I have had for 6 months, is named Pax. Upon returning from a long weekend during which a trusted pet/house sitter watched my pets, I discovered 9 uneaten Betta nibbies at the bottom of his bowl. He was constipated but we seemed to have solved that issue with a cooked pea and a grain of Epsom Salt. He hungrily goes after food (nibbies and freeze dried bloodworms) but then gags and vomits up the nibbies, sometimes to re-eat. After eating he has spasmed a couple of times and last night after eating he had what appeared to be a seizure. His water has been tested by 3 stores and me, his water temperature is at the bottom of the ideal range, and he reacts to his mirrored nemesis . . . but I am worried about my buddy. We are visiting the vet tonight for advice, but I would be most grateful for a more seasoned Betta owner to give me suggestions. Thanks for your help!
