i've actually only been to one show so far and from what my boss and trainer told me, that show was a joke. But it was fairly easy. Just be sure to memorize your pattern and shake the judges hand before you start, lol. I was pretty pleased, my trainer said that the judge we had was a pretty tough judge and he gave me a good rating, :)

my boss breeds gsds so it's mostly them (landheim kennels in dyer IN if you're curious, lol) I prefer dobes myself. I have a pet quality dobe i show in akc obedience and rally and i hope that someday when i have more time to import a dobe puppy to show in Schutzhund but thats way in the future. Rotties are awesome too! one of our clients does Schutzhund with her two

It should be ok, and it really depends on the damage. When its getting really damaged or really brown, nix it off :3

Not many suggestions, but swords might not adjust quite well, so if you find that any leaves are begging to die, just nix those leaves, as they dont really come back to life.

To be honest, the one light is fine. I personally find (when theyre larger sized/taller), they dont need to have such high light.

Have you ever ordered from AZ gardens in oro valley near Tucson? They seem like a really organized place. Their website really impressed me. I will have to take a look at your suggestions.

Where in AZ you at? I just moved to Glendale and I can't find anywhere for a good plant selection.

I got him from petco. He was much lighter when I first got him. If he wasn't mine I wouldn't even recognize him now! Haha. He's my big baby <3

    Where have you been? :p

I was never afraid of a Rottweiler. My husband is because he had neighbors who used to let theirs get out all the time and they jumped his fence and killed one of his ducks. He and his lil terrier ran them off but he's had a thing about them ever since.

I would have never pegged Molly as a guard dog but if ANYONE approaches our back sliding door, she flips out. Even if she's seen the person 10 minutes ago. We had Terminex here two weeks ago and she met him outside and was all.. I LOVE YOU! Rub my belly! And then he came to the back to spray around the door and she was barking, lunging and growling. LOL. I said, you MET him! But I let her do it. It's the only time she's ever like that. Cats, deer, and raccoons are included in the "You cannot enter my yard" law.

I had a neighbor who had a great dane. He was the biggest, doofiest dog I'd ever seen and therefore just totally loveable. I only ever got to see him walking by. I wanted to run out and hug him.

Why are they strict against Rotties? Is it because they think they're dangerous?

Molly loves those things. She loves to remove things from places. We also have this set of buckets and a vanilla smelly critter and you put the buckets around and hide the critter under one and she's "supposed" to smell her way to the right one. She's too smart for that. She just tips it over and looks. Worst scent dog ever. :p

I think I typed in argument invalid in google search. There are hundreds of em! The best one is Nicolas Cage with a bird on his head. :p

    He's SUCH a cutie! I love freckles. <3

LOL @ couch and patience. We get Molly these toys that have smaller toys inside for her to pull out and she totally loves them. She'll pull them all out and bring them to my husband one by one but she won't retrieve the log that you put them in. We tried SO hard last night to get her to understand that we wanted that log and I'm still not entirely sure she wasn't messing with us. :p

I love pit bulls, I think they're wonderful dogs but they're so overbred. Every shelter in my area has just SO many of them. They're loaded with them. Our dogs don't work. I guess that's part of the problem. They need jobs! :p

And thank you! I love her. She's the sunshine of my day. <3 And I full admit that I don't think Molly couldn't smell her way out of a paper bag. :p She can find dog poop, goose poop, any poop really (to eat, ugh!!!) but we've been within 10 feet of deer on many occasions and she's completely missed their presence. She relies on sight too much. She's got great chin/neck wrinkles though, so really, she has no excuse. She's just pitiful. Probably like you said, bad breeding.

I'd like to have a true Artesian someday but it would have to come from Europe too.

She was pretty much knocked out. :p

Conformation sounds neat. I could never get Molly in conformation. She's fiddle footed and she definitely looks more like and Artesian Basset Normand then a classic wrinkly Basset. She's AKC but that doesn't mean as much nowadays.

But it's good for us that her back legs are longer. She has no trouble with furniture. I've been wondering lately if one of her parents weren't Artesian. She looks so much more like them. She doesn't even have face wrinkles. I'll pm you pics!

Awwwwwwww, what a pretty boy. He's so pretty! I love the shape of his head. What's conformation? I've always wanted to train Molly to track.

You'll find the right dog. You know what you want and the work that's involved and that's such a good thing. Some people just grab a dog from Craigslist and then wonder why they're having problems.

We have storms rolling in and I just dosed Molly with 58mg of benadryl! Bring the rain!

Obviously we both need to get back to Cheesequake Park hiking. :p

Molly slept a lot and she was 16 weeks when I got her, so yeah, I'd think it would be a passed out pup at that age.

If you can afford it and you want one, I'd go for a UK Rottie! I always wanted a Basset and it was the best thing I ever did. Go for it!
