    Hello Skyewillow,
I was looking at the Dangerous Ornaments thread and I saw that you bought the Roman Ruins from Penn-Plax (the circular one that is on the first page). I too have bought that ornament and mine also smells like paint when it gets wet. I was wondering what you did to make it go away? Did you spray it with the Krylon Fusion that others have talked about? If you did, did it work?

    Thank you!

    Hi Skyewillow.

I have owned a beautiful Betta (Noem) for about 6 mths but he's become a tail-biter. I think it's because he gets lonely over the weekend when no one is in the office. I was reading some posts here about decorations to keep him busy & stress free and stumbled over one that said you were creating/making some yourself and selling them? Possibly out of Perler beads? Is this correct? Can you tell me where I can see some of your creations? Noem has beautiful blue fins and I'm very much want him to stop biting them. Thanks so much!

This species isn't really hard at all. I have around 30 fry from them currently and lots of eggs.

I just put a layer of peat moss in a 500ml plastic container with some java moss and IAL, then fill it up with water from the main parent tank. I put the eggs I have picked off the mop in, and add a drop or two of methylene blue to help prevent fungus. Running an airstone in there can also help with that.

Then a couple weeks later I should see the fry starting to hatch (you can see their eyes through the eggs) and then their care is quite similar to that of any fish fry.

The orange one? It's just a male Aphyosemion australe gold. It's a species of killifish, quite common and very easy to care for.

I will definitely. What's awesome is how cheap they are here. I'm thinking ten for my 20 g.
