My wendtiis are doing great <3 I'm adding CO2 to my tank and updating my lighting to flourescent spectrum 6500k bulbs! Hopefully they'll grow a tad quicker ;)

What are some other good types of plants? You seem to pick them very well!

That is exactly right. :) I bought a tank kit with incandescent bulbs and I hated it so much I went out and bought a whole new hood that night LOL.

I think the spectrum of the bulb plays a big deal in the growing factor as well. 3 watts to the gallon is a lot, yet most plants wont grow with these bulbs! I do agree flourescent looks better. It has a more 'daylight' look to it.

    Same user name?

Well it is a 10 gallon. I will find fluorescent. Then I will have 30 watt fluorescent which should be good for a 10 gal!

Because the hood says don't go over 15 watts... :/ I would've loved to have the 25 bulbs though

Yes that means 30 watts. You may or may not have algae issues with more lighting...confused as to why its unsafe to use your 25w? Its really kinda complex, but I think your lighting should be fine! If your plants aren't growing, then try for a different kind of lighting but I would probably just see how it goes for now!

10 hours should be a good amount of time. Those plants are pretty easy going, so I think it will be fine. BTW, I wouldn't suggest the CO2 fizz tabs...they give really unreliable dosing and most planted tank aquarists agree that its a waste of money. I think the root tabs were a great investment however!

A great website is aquariumadvice.com. Just look through or post questions in their FW planted forum. I'm a member there too!

I am confused on lighting. I have (2) 15 watt bulbs so does that mean I have 30watts or do you just count single bulb wattage?

I bought 25 watt bulbs today but forum members advised me not to for safety reasons.

If I have a total of 30 watts I think I would fare well. I will try and find 15 watt fluorescent bulbs. Then I should get a good amount of light. I will leave the light on about 10 hours a day.

Thanks if you can answer my question!!

The worker said she used this water supplement and it is on sale for$ 5. The plant is gorgeous, has tiny white flowers, and is HUGE.

I think it is bacopa! Lemon bacopa maybe. The worker said it smelled of eukalyptis to her, but eukalyptis has that lemony-y tart smell to it.

Do you know much about bacopa?
