she probably had a bad molt. It's fairly common in crayfish, where they molt then die. how big are the babies now?

GREAT news about the eggs/babies!!! I have approx. 25ish babies. Plus I gave a few to my daughter-in-law for her 38 gal. tank. She & the kids LOVE them!! :) I have NO idea what happened with Ms. Marbles - it just makes me so sad! I suppose the molting time is the most vulnerable time, huh?

Ok - thanks for the info. As always!!! :)

So do I feed them flakes (Ocean Nutrition Formula two) twice a day PLUS the algae tab? Or just one feeding of the flakes & then the tab?

Don't know how many babies, but when I read your question, I went over to the tank and counted an even dozen easily. So I'm thinking more, maybe?

I have a feeding question, if you don't mind.

Both Ms. Marbles & the kids have eaten flake today. Should I just give them two feedings of flake (morning & night) and not feed the algae tab? Or should I continue to give an algae tab? Can they be overfed like bettas?

    Thanks much! :)

So this morning Ms. Marbles is sitting ON TOP of a piece of driftwood checking out her kingdom - LOL!!! I am SO glad I decided to move the guppies out. :)

Thank you, thank you (Lion Mom takes a bow) - LOL!!!

Well, some of the guppies were hangin' by the entrance to Ms. Marbles cave & she was facing them. I felt sorry for her so moved the fish to other tanks. Within 15 minutes she was out & about - even WITH the tank light on!!!! :)

Also, I put some flake in late afternoon & saw her eat - YIPPEE!!!!

Oh - I am SO excited so be a "Grandma" again!!!! LOL!

OH - a 30 gal. cray tank sounds AWESOME!! Pics, pics - I NEED pics!!! :)

Thank you SO much for all your help - I would have been beside myself with worry without it!

Now THAT is interesting information - thanks for sharing it!!!!

I sure wish she were out & about during the day - I would sure LOVE to see her waddling around the tank - LOL!!!!

Her chosen home is a never used oil burner even though I did give her more options - driftwood, clay pot. She usually faces the large opening in the back, but a couple days ago she was facing the front with her little antanae (sp?) sticking out the holes in front.

Maybe it's just me, but I find her to be TOO cute!!!! :)

    Hahahaha - good one!!!

Ms. Marbles took a piece of guppy grass in her cave with her the other day. She really had it in there, too - shoved WAY to the back. She has since kicked it to the curb - LOL!!! What's THAT about???

    Hi!

So far, so good - I think! :) I believe she MAY have eggs since she hides all the time and has her tail folded under her. Obviously, I have found her hiding spot since I know how she is carrying her tail - LOL!!!

Thanks for asking and how are all your critters doing?
