Get the kind that goes in the water and has suction cups so you can stick it to the inside of the tank.

Dang!! Well I have some fry in the tank that look similar to him but with darker bodies, if you want one they'll be ready for sale in February.

I am so sorry about Hydro! I just got back from out of town and haven't read all the posts yet so I hadn't heard about Hydro.

A five gallon is a bit heavier to pick up, and you might have to empty it halfway before you try. A 3 gallon would only be able to fit a betta, and maybe a few ghost shrimp. However, ghost shrimp need filtered water, so they probably wouldn't be ideal.

Nope :p As long as you change the water regularly, they can be fine in unfiltered tanks. My Sherbet is in an unfiltered 5 gallon, and he's never been ill at all. No fin rot, ich, velvet, ect. ect.

I've been pretty good. I'm so sorry about Hydro. You really cared about him, and the only thing to say is he's in the great big fishbowl in the sky :p It's really a smart move to wait until you can upgrade your tank before you get a new little guy. I never would've been able to do it.
