Is my betta fish blowing away?

I think my betta, Atlantis, is getting blown around by my filter. I have a 6 gallon Tetra Water Wonders aquarium with "The Whisperer" size medium as the filter.

I read that this filter was supposed to be really gentle. It just seems that whenever Atlantis tries to swim in front of the filter, or in the corner of the tank that is across from the filter, he appears to get blown away.

What type of a filter am I supposed to get for a betta fish? I'm a bit upset because I invested the money in this filter and I have a feeling that it is no longer of any use!

Some bettas like the currents, some don't. If the output flow seems too powerful, you could always attempt to divert it in another direction away from the betta's path or get a spraybar to help disperse the flow.
