So, I have a 2.5 gal NPT that I like, but I want to change the gravel out of for sand. The only way I can do that is by changing my ten gallon to a NPT and sharing my sand between the two. But I don't have a large bucket, and unfortunately I don't have a spare ten dollars to spend on a three gallon bucket at walmart. Is there any way to do the conversion that doesn't involve a bucket? I'd like to do it, as I have tons of leftover potting soil from doing the 2.5, I'm just not sure how to go about doing it.
To understand....you want to remove the gravel from the tank and want to know what you can use other than a bucket to place the used gravel in....right?
If so, anything will work-an old flower pot, pan, tub...etc.....
So, found an unused cat litter box(backup for my rats) to put the sand in. All's well. I'll take a picture when the plants grow in.
