QT in a 2.5 that's heated, raising espom salt levels to 2 tsp per gallon over 3 days. Fasted for two weeks until fish seemed lethargic, now offering 1-2 nls pellets every two days. He's had ich before and occasionally bloating, but never any that required treatment past a few days of fasting.

Its hard to tell from the pic....can you get a few more....from the side and from above...

When you look down at him-do both sides look the same and/or one side look larger than the other, any buoyancy issues, clamp fins, hiding....he is still responding to you and eating correct and you have had him for 2 years or he is 2 years old.....

And to understand-you fasted him for 2 weeks until he became lethargic....correct.....

Like I said its hard to tell by the pic...but from what I can see....it may be a tumor and not bloat or feeding related per se'

:C Looking at it form the top he's pretty rounded on both sides, but his right side does look a bit larger :C

I have not owned him for 2 years, I'm guessing his age at about six months or so at purchase + time I've owned him.

He's been clamping and resting a lot, no apparent swim bladder issues. He's responsive to food and stimuli, but seems to tire faster than is normal for him-- and he is also hiding in the plan in the QT a lot, but I'm thinking perhaps that's stress.

Sadly, it may be a tumor and not a lot we can do but keep him comfy-the treatment you have him on now is about all I know to do....You might increase the Epsom salt to 3tsp/gal and if you haven't already-lower the water level in the QT and if he seems to be suffering at any point you need to do what is right by him......

Good luck....
