Coming back to life

I've missed having a betta.. Lunch, my blue vailtail, was lost in a fire and it took a while for me to decide I wanted another one. So this is Bettabettabetta (yeah, that's his name) and his mystery snail roomie, Rigel.











They're in a 3 gallon tank with lots of stuff to play with. It's nice to have a betta around again, they're so calming.

I absolutely love his color! Is he cellophane?

Parts of is fins are clear with splotches of very pretty violet, almost true purple, all throughout.
His body is red with orange on the sides, like he brushed up against something and wiped the red off.
And his top fin has a streak of violet, but it never shows up right on film. I wish I could get a better picture of him!

I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him. And boy does he have a personality.
He likes being pet.. I don't do it often, but I have a smooth stick with a rounded tip
(chopstick >.>) I use to feed him bloodworms, so he can jump up and grab them,
and if I put the stick in the water he wants to rub up against it. So odd!
