My new Betta doesn't know how to eat! please help...

Hmm. I have had a similar problem in the past, but they learned eventually.

Try introducing some live food so the surface gets moving and attracts the fish's attention.

My new betta was just introduced to my twelve gallon community tank with 2 mollies 2 platies and 2 catfish...

He hasn't figured out to eat yet and never tries to go for the food even if its right in front of him.

I've been using top fin flakes fo the rest of my fish and i put some betta pellets in for him too but he doesn't notice either one.

Is there anyway I can guide Hurricane (my betta) into eating?

please help!

What brand of pellets are you using. My bettas hate larger pellets. They like tiny pellets like hikari or aqua culture.

has he been eating that type of food before you introduced him to his new tank? if so, its normal for him not to eat for a little. thats what mine did but he eventually ate after a day. keep trying

I introduced him into my 12 gallon straight from his little petsmart cup so I have no idea what they fed him
