What is this growing on my decor?

Hello,

so I've noticed this weird white stringy stuff growing on the decorations I have in my 10gal tank. I just did a water change in which I cleaned the decorations pretty well (no soap, just hot water). Well those little stringy things are there growing again and I have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it. Here are some pictures:

This is the 10gal

And this is the stuff I am talking about

I'm not sure, I believe it is some sort of algae, but to be honest I'm not sure. I get the same thing, and it has never affected anything negatively, I just wash it off once in a while if I remember.

*huh* It's still really ugly though. Isn't there something I can do about it?

How big is your aquarium? You could get a bristle nose if the tank is at least 30g, or if you have a tank to upgrade it too once it gets larger. You would need to add veggies to the tank(broccoli, cucumber) or the pleco won't be healthy, they also enjoy driftwood. A couple otocinclus are also known to be good cleaners.

And you can always just take the decorations out and scrub them.
