I think you should try adding some more tetras, Pog. Boost your school to 8 or 10. :)

If you have two species, but only 6 tetras total, that's a problem. You really need 6 of each to help them all feel not stressed. :)

they school together and arent nippy anymore, they act fine now. I mite add more tho. I hav 2 see th pet store i shop at doesnt have a resident fish expert rite now so the fish arent doing so well DX

well u shouldnt house male and females together. they will fight. and if they dont they will mate and u will have babies on ur hands which is just as bad ;)

Males and Females should not be kept together unless you are breeding them or are very experienced with bettas. They will fight and one will most likely end up dying.

Whether your tetras are nipping or not, Pog, you should still provide proper schools for your different species of tetra to ensure that they aren't stressed. They are only schooling together because you don't have enough of the different species.

Yes. I agree with bombularinas post. Having more so of 2 proper schools will result in much more exquisite behaviour with much looser schooling and a risen amount if activity where as keeping two improper schools (5-) will result in very tut schooling which isn't natural, very weary fish, and precautionary nippy fish. I would recommend if you have the space that you should ideally up the numbers if both species of tetras if you have the chane too as they will show a much more improved behaviour
