So im a little late haha ive been here since february i think, but i just noticed this forum :) so here goes:
My name is emily as you can tell by my username. Im a high school senior this year and about two months ago i had never owned a fish in my life. The whole story of how i got into the betta keeping business is in the thread linked in my signature. Its Antiones journal :) Im so attached to that little guy :) I really never thought i, or anyone, could love a fish so much, but he proved me wrong.
I havent had bettas very long but im on here almost every day, mostly on the diseases thread to prepare for any time Antione ever gets sick. (Like now) My friends here at home are starting to come to me with fish questions haha. This forum has helped me SO much. I couldnt have kept any of them alive without you guys!
Other than fish, im from a small town in Missouri, Ill be going to Mizzou next year, I play flute and piccolo in my high school band, i also do color guard for marching band and plan on doing it in college. The current goal is to major in pre-med to become a transplant surgeon and move to Seattle :) I went there once for band and absolutely fell in love with it!
I dont really follow any religion, im pro-life, and i
strongly believe in gay rights. Im pretty determined when i want to be, and if something is important to me i will do everything in my power to make it happen.
I like to draw, paint, sew, knit/crochet, all kinds of lame artsy stuff haha. As for other pets, i have 2 dogs and 3 cats, none of which are exclusively mine, except Antione.
Im 18, my parents are divorced, i live with my mom whos health is possibly taking a turn for the worse. I have 7 brothers and sisters, 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, and 17, but i only live with one. I have my nose, lip, and ears pierced. I absolutely hate the humidity here and i cant wait until college :)
