Fry tankmates

What tankmates can we pair for the frys that would be beneficial for them?

Really only snails would work. Some say shrimp but I only ever keep snails in my tanks.

How large is the tank?

How old are the fry?

How large is the smallest fry?

Tank dimensions?

PH and hardness?

Substrate?

Filteration?

Is the tank planted?

This information would help us better depict the best suited and mates. Usually only small bottom feeders such as Corydoras, otos, ghost shrimp and snails would work. This is what I would recommend

Yeah I'd say snails works best, I use Apple or Nerites Snails they're great housekeepers

A lot of people use cherry shrimp in spawn tanks for other species.
I hear they only eat dead eggs, and leave healthy ones alone (betta eggs are where they can't reach anyways), and don't bother fry at all.
Snails are the tried and true choice though.

I've used mystery snails after the fry were a few days old. They did a good job eating up left over food and any fry that died. You may have to add a little food for them once and a while too (spinach, romaine lettuce, green bean or the like). Only drawback is they poop a lot so have a turkey baster or something to siphon out the waste. They're pretty cool in their own right.

I've used a cherry shrimp with mine and he did a great job. Left the fry alone. The ghost shrimps, on the other hand, I suspected of munching on my fry because a lot of them were disappearing until I removed the ghosts.
