Quite the Find

So I was at Petsmart today.. Had to take the puppy to the Banfield vet there for his shots and a deworming. While I was waiting, I went and browsed their bettas. As usual...

I found a stunning female. Dragonscale. She's either a HMPK or a PK. She wouldn't stay still for a good look at her fins. She's this really pretty lilac color. Nearly bought her, but the vet visit was more than expected. If she's still there when we go back in this weekend, I may have to grab her up. I must have picked her up at least 5 times.

If she's still there, she will definitely come home with me. Next to my current girls, she'll really stand out. Usually takes them a while to sell their dragons since they want $10 for them. The only had females this time, not that I'm complaining. One was red with green edges on fins and her dragon scaling looked purple. Another was blue with green dragon scaling and red edging to her fins. This lilac girl really caught my eye though.

Yeah... It's risky and someone may well grab her up before I can. Regret not picking her up while we were there today. Maybe I'll get lucky though. *crosses fingers*

You should have got her! I remember leaving a fish I wanted at the store (waiting for a tank to cycle). All week, all I thought about was that fish! It was torture! Luckily he was still there when I could finally get him (he was pretty sick and nasty looking, not surprised).

Hopefully she'll still be there, she sounds awesome! :D
Female betta usually don't sell as quick either.

That's why I have hope that she'll still be there. Looked as though all the dragons they got in this time and have on the shelf are females. Kicking myself for not grabbing her. Getting her or not, I plan on buying some new females soon to add to my sorority as I also finish gathering my breeding supplies.

I'm going to try breeding this summer. Right now I have all dragons. HMs that carry the PK gene.

She was just such a looker! We'll definitely be going back this weekend to see if she's still there. I think she'd do well. Not balanced as well as I'd like, but still nice. She had really good rays and branching.

Uploading pics of my current pretties right now. lol
