Cool

I have this one: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...uctId=11051817 3.5g with a lava rock planted with lava fern in the living room. Seems like a good size for a single male.

Jeff.

Thanks guys :) I'm going to try to get a bigger tank, and a filter for my fish within next week or so. Have to get money. Also going to try to get a heater. I have a log tunnel I wanna use, but it's really big!

Actually have a question, can I take bamboo that I have outside, rinse it off and put it in like a lil jar in the aquarium or just lay it down in lil sticks? Is that safe? or no?

Probably not. Lucky bamboo that's sold in the shops isn't even fully aquatic. Looks into fully aquatic plants Like the ones here. :)

Do you mean as drift wood or as a live plant? It'll grow as a live plant as long as most of it is out of the water. As far as drift wood, I don't really see why not - but definitely see what someone else has to say about that.

Well I have it, and I can always dry it out.. It's just I have a ton of it, and it'll be half in and half out. was just an idea.

I thought bamboo roots might rot in the fish tank? I was always confused about bamboo use and fish tanks.. It's okay if the 3/4 top part is out of water?

Well I wouldn't put the roots into the fish tank.. I was just going to cut the stalks in half, and use that, so I wouldn't have roots in it. Wouldn't be pretty sight :P But have top out, like half and half or 2/3 top out.
