Yea, it should calm them down. Maybe get some more things for hiding in while you're there.. If that's the tank in your photo, it looks pretty barren. Tetra and betta both love having lot's of cover. I'd look for some hornwort, it'll fill the top of your tank really fast. Or just really really tall silk plants. :)

Well, I didn't get a chase to get them because I was sick but from amazon I got stress coat and aq salt. I think it will help the matters for a little bit. how should I get the fish used to aq salt?

If it is the API stress coat then it is just another water conditioner. Aquarium salt should not be used as a preventative as it won't do anything but stress out the tetra even more. Tetra come from soft water and adding AQ salt to the water stresses them out by making their little bodies have to work harder to keep an equilibrium. The best thing you can do for them now is get more tall silk plants and add more tetra.
