Strips aren't really that accurate.

If you want accuracy try getting a liquid test kits, they're way more accurate.

That's what I thought that was because it said it came with a test tube. What are some good test kits then?

A lot of people here use API Master Test Kit, me myself, I use Nutrafin test kit, really any liquid test kit would work. Also check the expiration date! If it has one. :)

I bought this test kit and it did not work. The results showed up as colors that were not even on the chart. I then noticed that is was expired (by almost a year) and returned it for a new one and that didn't work either. I ended up buying the API master test kit and have had no problem reading the results.

Quick word of advice with the API Nitrate test #2 Bottle.

Shake the hell out of it for 2 minutes prior to adding it to the test tube. It gives a more accurate result. The liquid is prone to separating.
