My first breeding and spawn logg

Here is the pair i am going to breed for my first time
Right now i am getting them ready to breed still got about a week of conditioning to do.

Here is the male, he is a crowntail but looks like a DCT to me. He doesn't have many spike fins left because most melted off from finrot (this pic was taken a while ago he now has almost completly lost the finrot and is growing new spikes)

And here is the female (have no idea what she is)

I know there not realy breeding quality but this spawn is kinda more to see how well i do at breeding, (dont wana pay $50+ just for a good pair if i am going to fail at it) And i am breeding these 2 because i always wanted to see what colors i would get from them

The female looks like a VT. What's your spawning set up? What are you using for conditioning foods? What do you have for the grow out tank and fry food? lol come on tell us the goodies :P

What's your spawning set up? useing a 6-7gal tank with with heater, plants, styro cup, etc. What are you using for conditioning foods? Fishflakes, live brine shrimp, freeze dried bloodworms. What do you have for the grow out tank and fry food? grow out tank is going to be a couple of 10gals and the fry food will be infurosa (cant spell lol) BBS, egg yolk, and i think i might have some mw around here.

Your female look like a very weak delta/Pk
Breeding those two will be a mess.
The color won't blend well.

lol yay!! someone knows what their doing! I had to ask to make sure babies wouldn't be neglected. A few people certainly have tried with a lot less. heck I remember reading about one (don't actually remember who) spawn that had frozen brine shrimp, whole... I face palmed like 3 times over that one. You'll probably get some very pretty bi colored babies, but of course there could be a few oddities :P

Cool

If you can't afford the fish, It's best not to breed them.

I don't think he/ she is saying that they can't afford the fish.
Just that they don't want to start with quality pair and might fail at it.

I've seen a lot of betta lover that buy high price pair to just fail and given up.
Do to the cost of expensive, space and time.

Wise to work your way up.
Don't dive in without knowing how deep it is.
You will gain more knowledge if you start small
Plus Boost morality since you can improve yourself in breeding and the fish
What your going for is always better then what u start with
That get kind of tricky if you have top quality pair

My first pair was Muti color Pk
Less the 5 dollar for the pair
