Poor Indigo. Rachel and I accidentally turned his tank into swampwater, and as I was changing it Friday night, I bumped him with the cup I was using (curious betta, always gotta see what's happening!).
I noticed a pale patch on his back Saturday morning (not fuzzy or anything), but had to take the kids to a class. When we got home, it was dark colored. Here is the picture from Saturday about noon:
I ran out that afternoon and got Aquarium Salt and a better heater, one that lets you set the temp. By that evening, I had his tank cleaned (hot water and salt), the new heater put in, and AQ salt treated water ready. I put the temp up to 80.
But it doesn't look any better to me this morning, it actually looks worse. Is there a worse before better stage if it's a lost scale, or is this something more alarming (and if so, how do I treat it?!?) How long does it normally take to see improvement?
