It looks like over feeding and most likely is.... any fish that is over fed is usally still active. i over fed my betta, but i gave her 2 frozen bloodworms a week for 2 weeks and she got better,... idk it worked for me.....

GOOD LUCK!

Fast him for a day.

Can you get frozen daphnia? That clears their innards out REALLY well

Also, you could try epsom salt dissolved before adding. At 3 teaspoons per gallon, for 10 days. When the bloating starts going away DO NOT STOP THE TREATMENT keep going for at least 3-5 days after (or maximum 10 days total treatment)

After you fast, give him 1 Pellet. Betta Fish usually spit out new foods because of getting used to. You should really just feed him 2-3 Pellets a day. What is the 1st ingredient? It's better for him to get the right nutrients. Betta Fish don't eat much. Oh, and don't try the Pea Method. That for 1. Is for Goldfish, 2. Betta Fish are Carnivores/ Insectivores 3. It will damage their Digestive Tract.

+1 :) although bettas digest the veggies in their prey (aka daphnia) they shouldn't right out be eating fruits or veggies directly. Some have luck with the pea methd but please try the safer methods first!
