I just wanted to mention something about his habitat that will help with keeping him healthy. :)

- Bettas are tropical fish, so unless your room temperature is 82F, his water is too cold. I strongly suggest investing in a 25watt adjustable heater to keep him water between 78 and 82F. :) Remember that water is generally between 2 and 5 degrees colder than air temperature.
- For a filtered 2 gallon tank, two 50% changes per week are recommended. For an unfiltered 2 gal, one 50% and one 100% are what is needed to keep it clean. These measures are recommended by OldFishLady, a very experienced member who has experimented with cleaning schedules to find out what is best. :)
