I finally got some pix uploaded! (Pix normally sit in my camera for months.) These boys are hard to photograph as they get so excited when I come by that they're always facing me. It's hard to get good fin shots.
My husband and two kids (2 and 4) came home with them one day, along with that awful 1/2 gallon Aqueon tank. I did some research and set them straight. Of course, now I'm the one taking care of them. Don't tell my boys, but I actually find it really relaxing. They help feed, but I do the water changes. And both of my fishies will eat out of my hand! Oh, they're in a split 10-gallon now.
Here's my Jackpot. He's either a CT or a VT (and I am a bit nervous he might be showing fin rot...he looks fine to me, but the pix in the Emergency section also look fine to me, so...?):
And here's his bubble nest! I just saw it this morning (we've only been a Betta family for about 5 weeks, so all of this is new to me) Jackpot is photo bombing the shot. I think he's looking hopeful, as if I am going to bring a girl home for him (not gonna happen...I know my limits):
And here is Thunder. I'm pretty sure he's a CT:
