Possibly a nitrite burn?

Well this morning, I checked the water and it spiked 0.25 on nitrite.
Are the two strips on the gill cover possibly a nitrite/ ammonia burn?
there's two strips on the other side as well. It had the strips when i got her from the breeder, so i initially thought it was a coloration (--')

Tank size ;20L
temp:27c
N03 and NH4 are 0

I went and did a 50% water change and took some filter spong out off my other tanks and placed it in with the betta.

Should I remove her and place her in my 200L, my male betta will probably harass her as the I only have clear floating divider
