My yellow VT, Cheese, has a permanent "C" shaped dorsal. I think it's adorable.

it is not necessarily cause by hard water, my water is so soft it has like no buffering capabilities

it's just a water quality issue. :I happens to all my bettas, but i apparently have hard water. CTs rays curl or melt, Todd's perfect anal is curling, Sniper's anal curled.... can't fix it, as far as i know.

Two of my three crowntails have similar stuff going on with their streamers. Ghost's are fine. And TBH, I don't remember if they were like that when I got them or if that's happened since (the curly ones are my kids' fish, that they picked. I made sure their choices had fins attached and appeared to be moving nicely and didn't really look that close past that)
