Question algae

ok so i went away for a few weeks and had my friend watch my fish, i came home and the tank is full of algae and its also growing on my snails and fish. how do i get it off my fish?

Hm..that's a new one. The first thing to do would be to kill the algae. IF there is excessive light on the tank, that would be something to stop. I have no advice on the fish though...

i put them in fresh water, did a full tank cleaning and used aq salt/ algae killer, then put my fish back into the main tank. they look much better and also bumped up my mystery snail count in the tank, its a 30 gal and i had 2 snails,

i have dark and light fight, i have 8 females in a 30 gal tank sorority with plants, rocks ect.. the algae was everywhere in the tank and was growing on my females faces and side of their bodies, it was easy to see on my cambodian females because they had green patches on their light bodies
