So I'm wondering if babybettas need special care? I'm think about getting one at my petstore because he''s not doing too well:C

he's a tiny red VT there were lots of babies at my ps, alot of them were doing pretty well, but this one's water looked too shallow and he was depressed looking:C

Well babies need to eat more frequently (2-3 small meals a day) and you have to be extra careful with the water quality.

BTW a tiny red VT sounds like the cutest thing ever! XD

he was really really cute! Only problem is convincing my mom:C I hop[e she'll let me cause I want him to have a better life. She's finicky about stuff like that

With "baby bettas" from petco it's essentially fry without having to go through a spawn to get it. They are adorable but require just the same amount of work. Lots of clean water, lots of little feedings (like you might have to crush pellets) and lots of room to grow. As babies grow they release a growth stunting hormone. For a 2 gallon you'd have to do a 50% and a 100% water change once a week. If he was in a ten+ gallon that's still at least a 50% water change every week. Their fussy buggers but they are adorable to watch grow!

he looked to be a little under an inch long...so so cute. I haven't talked to my mom, i think I'll talk to my dad first, he's better about animals

my petstore i sa small one, and this is the first time I've seen babies there:D I hope he does better, but yeah so since I was saying I might get another bettas anyways, he is probably the one I'll get. Btw Fhil was so cute! H eate off my finger last night!
