Exclamation Jumped out, Barely alive!

How this happened, i don't know. My betta jumped out from the side of the tank where the lid doesn't cover it. He fell three feet down onto carpet. i came in who knows how long after the incident. We picked him up and put him back in. He looks crusty. There's carpet fibers all over him. What do I do???

I'm done with bettas if this one doesn't survive. I can't take the pain of watching it.

Very clean water, nothing stressful and add stresscoat.. He will be just fine..
Fill the tank less or put more cover, It's in their genes to explore and try to find bigger territory.

Oh my goodness, yes i'd say pristine water, stresscoat and a dark quiet spot so he can contemplate his risky behavior... silly boy, what a stress on you.... keep us posted!

I just now noticed this. I'll do what i can. He's swimming around, and eating well. I added some salt to the mix and I'll clean the water later. I believe the zoomed conditioner comes with stress coat?

That good to hear he's moving and eating... Just monitor him for a day or so but fingers crossed he sounds like he'll recover fine!!! Lucky boy!!

I understand your worry. My girl leapt out of the cup she was in during a WC last night. 3 feet to the floor. She was back in water in a minute. And this morning ate like a pig, so I say none the worse for wear
