new tank what do you think

ok so i begged and begged to be able to use my ten gallen and they finally gave in so playboy is in a ten gallen tank now but it is only filled aabout three forths of the way is this better even though it isn't filled up all the way?

I dont know what size tank you HAD but even 3/4ths filled 10 gallon tank is awesome for a betta :) he will certainly enjoy the extra room!

Why not fill up the tank? Is there no top or something? Bettas don't usually like to be exposed to open air temperatures in our homes because we don't live in the tropics. Since they do breathe air some of the time and live near the surface, they notice the cold dry air we have in our homes.

well i had him in a one gallon and no unfortunatly i don't have a top for it as for living in the tropics i don't live there i wish but i do live in alabama and we have a lot of humidity so we don't have that much dry weather around here so

You probably don't heat your house the way we do further north so its probably not that dry from winter heating either.

You can get a glass top. They're pretty cheap...about $8 or $9 for a 10 gallon.
