Well I'm female and I like to name pets ridiculously long, sometimes pretentious names. Look at the name of my fish at the bottom of my post. I had a list of 20 names for my purple fish .. Purpington LeGrape, Purplius, Lavender Grapesworthy . . but I like the "Sir" in your fish's name. I always want to add "the Third" to the end of names but it would be dishonest since I don't have any Purpington LeGrapes beforehand.

My sister said to name my fish Prince Rogers Nelson because that is Prince's real name, and purple makes me think of Prince. (Purple Rain, etc.)

Sometimes I just laugh reading people's names for their bettas. There are SO many good ones! I think "Robespierre" was one of my favorites.

You could always go for something like 'Sir Purpington LeGrape, the first of his name.' Very wordy and noble...heh.

he's so cute! We don't have petco here, but I almost wish we did! But I dare not take the risk that it would be male, since I have a sorority. LOL.

The name is great. Our dog, Frank, often gets called Mr. Happy Sprinkles.
